7:00 P.M. – Genesis: The Missing Piece of the Puzzle
What in the world is going on? Why is it that the Christian church is seeing such a massive decline throughout the Western world in just a few short generations? How is it that the church seems almost helpless in speaking with influence about vital issues such as the sanctity of life, the institution of marriage, sexual ethics and even the freedom to share the Gospel? And why have so many churches conformed to the social norms of the day VS standing firm on the Word of God? Discover the root cause of the issue as we examine the foundations of our faith beginning in Genesis.
2:00 P.M.- Biblical Biology
Many skeptics point to the theory of evolution as a reason to distrust the Bible as plainly written and as a stumbling block to a belief even in the concept of a Creator God. Change in living things is an observable phenomenon, so how would a Bible believer explain how what we see in God’s world matches what we see in His Word? This talk will show with clarity how what we observe in biology fits the biblical account of creation far better than naturalistic explanations of the world.
3:00 pm – 3:30 pm BREAK & REFRESHMENT
3:30 P.M. – The Race of Man
Headlines touting the prevalence of racism permeating western culture continue to jam news and social media feeds around the world. How should Bible-believing Christians interpret these ideas? Are people being programmed to view people that look different than they do as inferior- and are Christians susceptible to being influenced to think that way as well? This presentation will examine how the Bible should shape our beliefs about human anthropology- ‘race’, racism, the origin of man and most importantly- the message of the Gospel!
5:00 pm SUPPER Provided
6:30 P.M.
Whether it is mocked, misunderstood or misrepresented, the story of the great deluge as described in Genesis 6-9 remains one of the most well-known areas of biblical history among believers and skeptics alike. Learn why Noah’s Flood is not only the key to understanding the geological features we see around the world but how it is unlocks one of the biggest controversies in the church today (the age of the earth).
11:00 A.M. – The 7 C’s of History…and Why they Matter!
Many Christian’s find it difficult to connect the Bible to the ‘real world’ issues they deal with and face on a daily basis. Can we really trust the Bible when ‘science’ has supposedly disproven it? How do we interact with a culture that seems so hostile to the message Jesus brought? Learn the 7 C’s of history and how they connect the ‘earthly things’ to the ‘heavenly things’ the Bible talks about (John 3:12). This multi-media presentation will surely help have your faith renewed and ignited as the ‘big picture’ of the Bible is unfolded from Genesis to Revelation!
12:30 pm LUNCH Provided
2:00 P.M. – Sharing the Gospel in Today’s Culture
The Gospel message never changes, but missionaries seek to contextualize that message in different cultures in order to make it more understandable and to better demolish the strongholds preventing the hearers from accepting it. Walk through the book of Acts to see a biblical example of how the Apostles adapted to the various cultures the early church dealt with in order to better share the Gospel and what that means for us today.
